The SOBERLINK Breathalyzer contains a professional-grade fuel cell sensor with a detection range of 0.000% - 0.400% BAC. The fuel cell used in the SOBERLINK device is calibrated to extremely tight tolerances and would be comparable to other high-end professional grade fuel Breathalyzers on the market. If you would like a data sheet with specifications on the SOBERLINK device, simply call us at 714-975-7200 for more details.
The SOBERLINK Breathalyzer requires recalibration approximately once a year in order to maintain the accuracy of the fuel cell sensor. The SOBERLINK device keeps an internal clock of 1,500 tests and will warn the client and administrator of the account when it is time to recalibrate the device. Simply call 714-975-7200 to follow a simple exchange procedure.
Once the monitoring party creates an account on www.soberlink.net, the administrator has the ability to set up a testing schedule for each client they are monitoring. Based on this schedule, automated texts can be sent to the client's personal cell phone, reminding them to submit a sobriety test. Although the client can submit a test at any time, they will have 44 minutes after their reminder text before the test is marked as missed on the Monitoring Web Portal.
If a positive BAC is detected, the test will be highlighted on the web portal, and the client will receive an automated text on their personal cell phone. This text will notify them that they have submitted a positive test and will be asked to retest in 30 minutes. This feature provides quantitative data for the monitor to evaluate whether the positive BAC was a drinking event or a false positive result (i.e. tester had mouthwash before testing), and can be enabled or disabled by the administrator on the Monitoring Web Portal.
On the Monitoring Web Portal, the account administrator can add contacts for each client, who will be alerted through email or text upon a missed or positive BAC test result. The alerts include follow-up notifications if a client submits a test after missing the scheduled time, and compliant notifications if a BAC below .02 comes in after submitting a test at .02 or higher.
Very secure. Because we understand that the test results are confidential medical records, our Monitoring Web Portal is HIPAA compliant and password protected. Please read our Privacy Policy and HIPAA Compliance Statement for more details.

Contact SOBERLINK as soon as possible by calling 714-975-7200 so that the phone service can be suspended and no further monitoring charges will be incurred. It is also recommended that the monitoring party creates a contract denoting liability when giving the SOBERLINK product to a client.
Yes, feel free to call 714-975-7200 and a representative will be happy to provide references that you can contact directly.
SOBERLINK recommends using a SOBERLINK Service Provider to assist you. The Service Provider would rent the device at a daily rate and assist in the monitoring and case management of your testing activity. All SOBERLINK Service Providers are established electronic monitoring agencies with extensive backgrounds in alcohol monitoring. To find the closest provider, call 714-975-7200 to speak to a sales associate.
The SOBERLINK web portal does not have a computer generated randomized testing system. All text reminders requesting a test from the participant are scheduled by the account administrator and takes 30 minutes to process once input. The decision to disclose the testing schedule is between the account administrator and the person being monitored. Due to the ease of submitting a test, many clients test 2-4 times per day, making random testing unnecessary.
Yes, SOBERLINK can send a proven protocol guideline used by many of our licensed professionals. Please call SOBERLINK at 714-975-7200 to get more details on the suggested implementation.
